My 3 yr old daughter had uti and had a white blood cell count of 30 in her pee, is that severe?

Answer:
Cell counts in urine are usually done by viewing part of the sample under a microscope and counting the cells. The results are reported as number of cells seen per high powered field on the microscope. It is normal to see a few white blood cells (WBCs) in urine - less than 5 is usually acceptable. The reason that your daughter's WBC count is high is because of her UTI. The job of WBCs is to fight infection, so because your daugther has a urinary infection, one would expect to see an elevated WBC count. It is actually good to see an elevated WBC count because that is evidence that the body is fighting the infection. A WBC count of 30 is not out of line with what is normally seen with an infection.

I would assume that her doctor has prescribed antibiotics to treat her infection. The important thing in this case is to figure out how she got a UTI, because it is not very common for young children to get them.
I would ask your local dr...
offcourse it is very dangerous...white blood cells should not be present in pee....white blood cells provide defensive mechanism to our body ....immediately take ur daughter to dr
Too numerous to count is the worst
